We’re planning our presents, our parties, our outfits, our decorations, our travels, our meals but what about our health? Our wellbeing? We don’t want to add another to-do to your already overflowing list, so here’s a quick plan for an all-around healthy, WELLthy holiday season.
💛 Few minutes a day of stillness for yourself! No excuses. Slow down. #Breathe. This will make the difference between moving through the holiday reacting, running around chaotically and consciously choosing how you show up. 🧘
💛 Turn your phone off. Look around. It’s a season of togetherness. Be present with your loved ones, your friends, your family. Not just a body attached to a cellular device.
💛 Just be. Give your mind a break. Remember when you were a kid and would just stare up at the clouds and lose yourself in #nature? Your mind gets tired too. Give it a rest by letting yourself stare out at the sky or the clouds. Or even try a power nap! ☁️☁️😴
💛 #Journal! Busy, running thoughts? Get it down on paper and out of your head. Your brain will thank you! 📝
💛 Go for a walk. Even if it’s just around the block. Fresh air and movement will do wonders. 🚶🏾♀️🚶🏼♂️
💛 Stretch! Don’t have time for a full hour and a half vinyasa? Not a problem. Stretch it out while watching those holiday classics. Your body will thank you! 🙆🏼♀️🙆🏽♂️
💛 Get a hug/Give a hug. Physical touch and affection has been shown to improve heart health (we’re not surprised), lower blood pressure and reduce stress. 🤗
💛 Our personal favorite, take a replenishing bath! Take a few drops of noteCBD’s oil between your palms, rub them together and give yourself a mini self-massage before hopping in the tub. Even 20 minutes of this will leave you feeling like a new person! 🛀
💛 It’s a season of sweets and sugar. All those christmas cookies may leave you feeling sluggish and tired. We don’t want to stop you from indulging this season, but try balancing it with a power smoothie or a light, refreshing salad. We’re not about saying no to anything!
